Start your tour on the Schlossbrücke, the bridge leading to the Schweriner Schloss (Schwerin Castle) and its grounds. The bridge adds to the beauty of the Castle. It is a perfect place for you to take pictures with the fairytale Castle in the background. The vaulted arch bridge dates back to 1844 and spans approximately 50 meters in length.

You will visit the castle known as the Schweriner Schloss, one of the most beautiful landmarks of Schwerin. Surrounded by lakes and gardens, this magnificent castle is sure to awe you. It served as a residence to the Dukes and Grand Dukes of Mecklenburg. The Castle dates back to 973 and has undergone changes with time.

Walk in the gardens of the Schwerin Castle which were designed by Peter Joseph Lenné and Theodor Klett. The gardens host events such as concerts every summer while offering beautiful views of the Castle in the background.

Admire the beautiful Schwerin Cathedral dating back to the 12th century. Dedicated to the Virgin Mary and Saint John. Here, you will see the Church tower which stands 117.5 meters tall and its stained glass windows. Initially, it was built in Romanesque style, however, was later rebuilt in Gothic revival style following damage to the building due to fire.
