If you are traveling on a cruise ship to the port of Rostock/Warnemünde and have only one day on shore, let us take you on a fascinating journey to Berlin, focusing on the city's Jewish Heritage and sights! 

This semi-private shore excursion includes shared (bus) transportation from the cruise ship to Berlin and a private tour in Berlin with a personal driver, vehicle and tour guide.

The tour is adjusted to each ship’s docking times and starts promptly after your vessel’s arrival, returning with plenty of time to spare before its departure. Upon arrival in Berlin, the tour includes a private vehicle, driver and a professional tour guide for a total duration of approximately 5 to 5.5 hours
The transportation to Berlin and back is shared with other passengers from your cruise ship. Please note there is no tour guide present in the bus during the journey from the port and during the journey back.

Detailed itinerary

Your hosts will greet you in front of your cruise ship as soon as it docks and show you to a comfortable, air-conditioned bus. You will share the bus with other passengers from your cruise ship. After a relaxing, comfortable journey through the picturesque flatlands of East Germany, you will arrive in Berlin. Here there will be a private vehicle with a driver and a professional tour guide waiting for you. After a 6-hour private tour you will jump back onto our shared bus transportation and travel back to the port. 

Your private tour of the city can be custom tailored to your exact specifications. You can make all the decisions what to visit, where to stop and where to spend your time.

Stop 2

Upon arrival you will meet your guide at the Charlottenburg Palace in former West Berlin.

Stop 3 Pass by

From here we will continue to  the Kurfürstendamm shopping boulevard passing the Kaiser William Memorial Church and the famous KaDeWe Department Store.

Stop 4

We will then head through the central park of Berlin, the Tiergarten, past the Presidential Palace Bellevue and on to the new Government Quarter to see the impressive German Parliament, the Reichstag.

We will then stroll through the Brandenburg Gate and Paris Square to the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe.

Stop 6

Next we will visit to the adjacent Führer Bunker where Hitler committed suicide in March of 1945. Our last stop before lunch will be Potsdamer Platz, the new “Times Square” of Berlin.

After some free time for lunch it is on to the former Jewish Quarter and the New Synagogue which has become the fashion and art district of the city.

Stop 8

We will visit the Scheunen Quarter, see the oldest Jewish cemetery, the Otto Weidt workshop, as well as the former Jewish boys’ and girls school along with many other monuments commemorating the once thriving Jewish community.

From here we make our way to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Museum Island as well as the Neue Wache War Memorial. A drive along Unter den Linden will bring us past the Book Burning Square and on to Berlin's most beautiful square Gendarmenmarkt.

Stop 10 Pass by

The next stop will be the Cold War Icon Checkpoint Charlie.

Stop 11

Finally it is on to the Berlin Wall and the former SS and Gestapo HQ now known as the Topography of Terror.

At the end of your Berlin tour, say goodbye to your tour guide, board the shared bus, and be whisked off in comfort back to your cruise ship.
