Detailed itinerary

1
Stop 1

The Heydar Aliyev Center, which was designed by renowned architect Zaha Hadid and completed in 2012, is rumoured to be one of the most expensive buildings in Europe per square meter. Its rolling, flowing design made waves within architectural, engineering, and design circles garnered it much prestigious and international recognition.

2

Highland Park - the landscaped terraces of which overlook the city and give the best view over the Baku Bay, National Flag Square and Seaside Boulevard.

3
Stop 3

State Museum of Azerbaijani Carpet - being brilliantly photogenic, the museum, designed in the form of a huge folded carpet, also houses ceramics, 14th-century metalwork, bronze-age jewellery and the vast collection of 10,000 carpets from the 17th to the 20th century.

4
Stop 4

The 4th stop of our travel itinerary is Baku's Old Town, or "Icherisheher". Icherisheher is the pearl of Azerbaijani architecture and culture. There are many galleries and exhibition halls in Icherisheher where you can see and purchase the works of various artists, sculptors and master craftsmen.

5
Stop 5

The most ancient monument of Icherisheher is the Maiden Tower – a symbol of the of Baku. Some evidence suggests that the construction of the Tower might have been as early as the 7th-6th centuries BCE.
