After being picked up from your hotel, we begin our journey to the Hamatour Monastery by heading to the village of Kousba, just north of the capital, Beirut. Our hike begins with a two kilometre stretch of steep terrain with 200m rises, where you will walk along the mountain cliffs overlooking the Holy Valley of Qadisha and the river bank. Upon reaching the top, you will have the opportunity to explore the monastery. Take the time to be present in the moment, absorb the incredible views of the Qadisha Valley, pray, meditate or simply relax in the peaceful and spiritual surrounds. After this once in a lifetime experience, we resume our hike back to the bottom. If time permits, we will also head up to Hamat, home to the monastery and historic shrine of Our Lady of Nourieh. You’ll be treated to some breathtaking views from the top of the mountain.
