About this experience

We cooperate with 2 families who are located 40 min drive from Nafplio in a mountainous village, 700 meters altitude.
The village is one of the highlights in our region where locals hang out and where you can eat authentic , village food.
One family has a restaurant-local tavern and the other one owns a home with a wooden oven.What we are going to do;
We drink fresh water at the spring fountain at the village square while we do an introduction about this place.
Continuing we drink a mountain tea with honey and a panoramic view of the mountains and the village.Afterwards aprons on and hands on , to start making 2 recipes :The famous Greek tzatziki and Gemista (Stuffed vegetables with sauce and rice)
As soon as we finish you will walk just 5 min from the restaurant to meet the second 'chef'-housewife-Greek grandmother (yiayia in Greek)You are going to learn how to cook a cheese pie making your own phyllo and learning how to cook it in a wooden oven-Slow cooking-

After of 45 min drive from Nafplio you will be in a mountainous village -700 meteres altitude.It's a place where locals hang out away from crowdy places and with authentic mountain Greek dishes.

You will drink fresh water at the spring fountain at the village square while we do an introduction about this place.
Continuing we drink a mountain tea with honey and a panoramic view of the mountains and the village.

Afterwards aprons on and hands on , to start making 2 recipes :The famous Greek tzatziki and Gemista.
As soon as we finish you will walk just 5 min from the restaurant to meet the second 'chef'-housewife-Greek grandmother (yiayia in Greek)You are going to learn how to cook a cheese pie making your own phyllo and learning how to cook it in a wooden oven-Slow cooking-
When you finish the third recipe, you can walk and explore the village and its old watermills.

Then all together we will enjoy not only what you made, but the famous lamb chops and other local dishes as well.
