Ο Θαλασσόπυργος ή Καστέλλι κατά τους Ενετούς και Μπούρτζι κατά τους Τούρκους, όπως και είναι περισσότερο γνωστή, είναι μικρή νησίδα μπροστά στο λιμένα του Ναυπλίου, ακριβώς απέναντι από το επάκτιο πυροβολείο, καλυπτόμενη πλήρως από παλαιό ενετικό Φρούριο στο οποίο οφείλει και το όνομά της.

Στο μεσαιωνικό κείμενο Χρονικό της Μονεμβασίας που βρέθηκε στη μονή Ιβήρων αναφέρεται πως μετά την κατάληψη της Πελοποννήσου από τους Σλάβους οι κάτοικοι του Άργους κατέφυγαν στο κοντινό νησί Ορόβη που πιθανότερα αντιστοιχεί στη Ρόμβη[1][2]. Πράγματι, στη κοιλάδα του νησιού, η οποία μάλιστα έχει δεντροφυτευτεί σχετικά πρόσφατα, υπάρχουν ακόμη και σήμερα πολλαπλά απομεινάρια του μεσαιωνικού οικισμού αλλά και κλασικά και προχριστιανικά λείψανα, σε κάποια δε οι τοίχοι έχουν μείνει σχεδόν άθικτοι.
Στη νότια πλευρά του νησιού σχηματίζεται ένας εκτενής κόλπος με αμμώδεις ακτές. Λίγο έξω από τον κόλπο αυτό βρίσκεται η βραχονησίδα Δασκαλειό στην οποία έχει χτιστεί παρεκκλήσι, και αυτό της περιόδου του Βασιλείου του Μορέως.

Η πιο γνωστή και βραβευμένη για πολλοστή φορά με “Γαλάζια σημαία” παραλία στο Ναύπλιο. Με δύο πανέμορφα λιμανάκια ένα νότια και ένα βόρεια καθώς επίσης και μια βραχονησίδα στη μέση κάνουν το μέρος ιδανικό για μια τελευταία στάση.
