About this experience

This tour is not for the faint of heart. You will be trekking up mountains, driving on winding roads, and exploring the Berber culture that exists in this beautiful blue city. Chefchaouen is one of the most touristy places in Morocco.

Chefchaouen is situated at an altitude of 1,450 metres, it has a low-key vibe and some of the most stunning scenery in the country. The walls are daubed in all shades of blue to represent the colour of the sparkling Mediterranean Sea, according to some locals.

Chefchaouen has long been a popular destination for artists and photographers due to its unique character. One of the best ways to see this vibrant town, where ancient tradition rub shoulders with modernity, is with a private driver.

Explore narrow alleys filled with traditional Moroccan market stalls, markets and grand squares.

When the tour is finished, you will have time to eat something and relax before your private driver takes you back to your hotel or place of choice in Cadiz.

Detailed itinerary

1
Stop 1

The cascades d'Akchour is a natural waterfall in the Moroccan Atlas Mountains. The falls are located near Tinghir, in the foothills of the mountains. The falls are most spectacular during monsoon season, when water levels are high and rainstorms frequent.

2
Stop 2

In the heart of Chefchaouen, Morocco, Lina Ryad & Spa offers a rooftop terrace with a view on the Medina and hammam treatments. The spa is a haven of relaxation in an exotic environment, where you can indulge your senses and refresh your mind.

The list of treatments proposed by Lina Ryad & Spa is varied and with a touch of luxury. The Moroccan Hammam is one of the most popular treatments offered. This treatment starts with an aromatic scrub before moving to a steam room and then to the hammam, where you will be soaked in warm water for about 30 minutes. Afterwards, you can enjoy a cold towel treatment before your face is covered in fruit enzymes to turn over the film layer on your skin.

The Moroccan Hammam was considered by Forbes Magazine as one of the top five spas in the world, and it is the only one to have been awarded a five-star rating.

3
Stop 3

This square is located in the old Berber city of Chefchaouen. It is surrounded by the medina, which contains over 700 houses with red tiled roofs. The old town is a UNESCO World Heritage site and has many small alleyways and labyrinths that are hard to navigate.

4

Chefchaouen Cemetery is located out of walls of the old town.
