1

Your knowledgeable local English-speaking tour guide and private car driver will come and pick you up at Guangzhou airport (Gate 53 of Terminal 2, the exit for international flight travellers), holding a sign with your name written on it. You can choose to store your luggage at the airport or put your luggage in our car/van to start the tour. Message your guide if it takes too long for queuing at the Free Visa application counter before you meet.

2

Visit Yuanxuan Taoism Temple, to view the fantastic ancient Chinese style architecture and garden, and learn about Taoism religion and culture of China origin.

And have a stop to visit Senior Minister Residence which is one of the noble family old house clusters in Qing Dynasty.

3

Lunch/dinner at a local "Tea House" restaurant to try the delicious traditional Cantonese dim sum, the famous local specialty in Guangzhou with local people, not touristy place.

Have a stroll or cycling along the beautiful Huadu Lake Park to observe various birds and view some local people's activities like playing Tai Chi, shuttlecock, badminton, dancing and singing with traditional Chinese musical instruments.

4

Huadu District of Guangzhou is the north outskirt of the city where the airport is located, with your limited layover time(if less than 10 hours) you don't want to be pushed and guarantee adequate time to be back to the airport in advance for your onward flight.

This tour itinerary allows you to explore the nearby area not far from airport, not going into downtown city area which saves your trouble of commuting among traffic(it's 45 mins driving single way from airport to downtown city). Pay a visit to downtown city area next time if you have longer layover in Guangzhou(let's say more than 12 hours).^_^.
