Change at Luzern to the public electrical bus to Kriens, just 10 minutes away from the city center.
In terms of population, Kriens is the third largest municipality and the second largest city in the Swiss canton of Lucerne. It lies at the foot of Mount Pilatus and borders Lucerne to the east.
A short walk takes you to the cableway station of the Pilatus gondola.
You board one of the aerial cableways (mentioned as gondola in Switzerland) to hoover via Krienseregg to Fräkmüntegg. Travel time is 20 minutes.
The Krienseregg is perfect for families. In the versatile local recreation area you will find marked, varied circular hikes and large picnic areas
At Fräkmüntegg you change on the 60-people gondola for the final ascent. Travel time is 6 minutes.
Arrive at the mountain station Pilatus Kulm, where a viewing terrace, a panorama gallery and two mountain hotels are located on the scenic local mountain.
Visit several attractions at Mt. Pilatus like the dragon gallery, the viewpoint, the scenic terraces and the multimedia presentation. After your lunch and visit, you travel the same way back by gondola to Luzern.
