Detailed itinerary

1

Meet your tourguide and board the intercity train from Zürich , which takes you through Bern and along the lake Thun to Interlaken

2

You board the local train to Lauterbrunnen. It will take you within 25 minutes into the Lauterbrunnen valley.

3

Arrive at the village of Lauterbrunnen closed to the end of the valley, with a view of the surrounding mountains. Here you change onto the local bus, which drives in 10 minutes to Stechelberg.

4

The village is connected by the Luftseilbahn Stechelberg-Mürren-Schilthorn (LSMS), an aerial tramway constructed in 1965, to other amenities and locations in the area.

5

After two rides on the aerial cableway, you make a stop at the "Birg" station. A panoramic terrace allows you to enjoy the stunning panoramo to the surrounding mountains. If you prefer a bit more thrill: The steel structure clings to the rock before swerving under the observation deck and cableway to end below the cable car station. Features including a crawl-through tunnel, glass-bottomed floor, rope and cattle grid lend an additional frisson of thrill to this spine-tingling adventure.

Stop 6

Arrive at "Piz Gloria", the location featured in the 1969 James Bond movie On Her Majesty's Secret Service. The summit has a panoramic view which spans from the Titlis, Jungfrau, Mönch, Eiger, over the Bernese Alps and the Jura mountains up to the Vosges Mountains and the Black Forest. Mont Blanc is also just visible. The revolving restaurant, the terrace and the special exhibition about the James Bond movie are the sight that you will visit during your stay.

7

Mürren is a traditional Walser mountain village in the Bernese Highlands of Switzerland, at an elevation of 1,638 meters above sea level and it cannot be reached by public road. With a walk through the village you will cross Mürren within 20 minutes. Enjoy the typical wooden chalets and the panoramic views to the surrounding mountains, before you board the local railway in direction Lauterbrunnen.
Several restaurants and bars invite you to relax, to enjoy the view, or discover old wooden chalets and green meadows.
Your tour guide is available to you for information or hints about Mürren and places to go.
