Come with us for your Express Aurora Hunt and have a guaranteed early return to Tromsø city centre. This tour is ideal for cruise ship guests who need to return to Breivika cruise port by midnight.
Leave the city lights behind and travel into the Arctic wilderness. During this activity, your small team of Aurora guides check the forecasts and uses local knowledge to decide on the best place to chase the Northern Lights within an hour's drive from town. On this activity, we will travel wherever looks safest and with the best chances of seeing the Northern Lights within 1 hr of Tromsø city centre. Once we arrive at the best location, we will wait for the show to begin. In the meantime, our guides will tell you stories about the North and the science behind the Aurora. We'll have you back to the city centre or Breivika terminal by midnight, so you can be well rested the next morning.
Some evenings we will drive inland or towards the coastal islands. The decision is made based on the safest environmental conditions for driving as well as the conditions for finding gaps in the clouds.
Please check your email confirmation for the exact pickup time. Failure to meet at this time can result in the tour departing without you.
