With this 9-hour full day tour you will cover the most famous sightseeing destinations for a day trip from Salzburg. You private tour will start with a drive through the picturesque 'Salzkammergut' region to Hallstatt, known as one of the most beautiful lake side villages of the world. After visiting the historical old town center of Hallstatt, your afternoon will be filled with WW II history locations. Highlight in the afternoon is the visit of Eagle's Nest (only from May to October: during the winter months, the tour might visit Rossfeld summit instead, to get a stunning view of the Bavarian Mountains and the Eagle's Nest). Next to the Eagle's Nest built by the Nazis of the German Reich, the Bavarian Alps are offering outstanding mountain sceneries.

Meet your local Guide at your hotel in Salzburg and hop on board your luxury touring vehicle.

Be ready for pickup at 09.00 am at your Salzburg hotel. Make yourself comfortable in your comfortable touring vehicle and experience the beautiful landscape that the famous ‘Salzkammergut’ lake region has to offer. After a short drive from Salzburg you’ll reach the castle of Fuschl. Capture a picture of the castle of Fuschl with the emerald-green Lake Fuschlsee as its backdrop, before heading on to St. Gilgen with Lake Wolfgang, the next photo stop.

Stop 3

The next highlight is Wolfgang Lake and the villages St. Gilgen and St. Wolfgang. Capture a picture of St. Wolfgang from a great view point before arriving at the next town, in Bad Ischl. The drive will take you through Bad Ischl, which is famous for the “Kaiser” (Emperor) Villa and the Café Zauner, and on to Bad Goisern and Hallstatt.

Having reached Hallstatt and the highlight of this full day tour, your private guide will point out the must-sees of Hallstatt to you, which include a beautiful photo spot of Hallstatt, Charnel House (Bone House), Hallstatt Museum, Hallstatt Waterfall "Waldbachstrub", Hallstatt's local residence area and more. You will have 2 hours to explore Hallstatt and all these sites on your own as well as to have lunch in one of the great lake side restaurants in Halltstatt (at your own expense).

Stop 5

From Hallstatt via Golling and Hallein to the "Obersalzberg" Eagle's Nest bus terminal. From that historical point we will access the Eagle's Nest with special busses and elevator. You will have 45 minutes at the Eagle's Nest, time to get many ever memorable pictures and maybe also having lunch at the Eagle's Nest terrace overlooking the entire Bavarian Mountains. The very scenic view to the Bavarian Mountains, the King’s lake (Koenigssee) and the surrounding area of Salzburg will be an everlasting memory of your Austrian holiday. During the winter months, the tour might visit Rossfeld summit instead, to get a stunning view of the Bavarian Mountains and the Eagle's Nest (November to beginning of May).
