Stop 2

Once you have seen the first lake, continue along the lakeside road to St. Gilgen, where you can stop for a picture of St. Gilgen with the Wolfgangsee in the background before heading into the town centre.

3

After exploring St Gilgen, the birthplace of Mozart's mother, your journey takes you to the next highlight of the day, St Wolfgang. After exploring the town you can stop off at the Restaurant im Weissen Rössel, which has a terrace overlooking the lake.
Weather permitting, you can take the rack-railway to the top of the Schafberg for the views (and lunch, if you like) from a 6000ft mountain.

4

From 18 April to around 3 November you can take the boat from St Wolfgang back to St Gilgen for a different view of the area. Your guide will pick you up in St. Gilgen after the boat ride.

After eight hours of exploring one of Austria's most beautiful areas, your private tour ends with a drop off at your hotel in Salzburg.
