Located within a ranch, the Recanto Ecológico Rio da Prata offers snorkeling in small guided groups of up to ten visitors. Visitors will snorkel down crystalline rivers alongside more than 50 colorful species of tropical fish.
This giant aquarium experience consists of two parts: a trail through the lush, tropical riparian forest, and a 2 hour aquatic journey (2 km snorkeling downriver) down the astonishingly clear Olho d’Água river, that joins the bigger and slightly less transparent Prata river (600 meters snorkeling). There is also the option of scuba diving the Prata river. The ranch also offers other activities: horseback riding through the farm fields and birdwatching with 200 species registered. The ecotourism attraction has won awards for its compromisse with visitor’s safety, quality and nature conservation.
