Stop 1

We will begin the morning heading to San Juan de Oriente, world-renowned manufacturer of detailed clay and ceramics pieces. San Juan de Oriente is a town of indigenous descent that bases its economy on the elaboration of handicrafts. We will visit the house of a local artisan where we can observe the elaborate pieces, and learn the whole process of this ancestral practice. It will amaze you to learn how they also make their own paint to decorate their works of art.

Stop 2

Our excursion continues to the Mirador de Catarina, where we will enjoy the impressive view of Laguna de Apoyo and in the distance, but equally impressive Lake Cocibolca, the city of Granada and the Mombacho Volcano. During the visit to this picturesque village we will have the opportunity to taste delicious local fruits.

Craft Market in the city of Masaya, famous for the wide variety of products on offer. Here we can find everything from a simple pen with a national emblem, leather and wood products, hammocks, to a painting by a famous Nicaraguan artist.

Stop 4

Masaya Volcano National Park. The National Park has a volcanological museum where we can learn about the history, eruptions and formation of the volcano, as well as its myths and legends that took place there. The Masaya Volcano is one of the most active in the country, we will reach its crater where cameras cannot be missing to treasure this unique experience.
