We have included in this itinerary the must see temples as well as many of the smaller monuments that can unfortunately be missed by some travelers. Each temple is different, so on arrival we generally would have chatted with you about your preference and may then adjust to suit your needs. It is impossible in a short stay to see all the temples and other interesting places. We will work with you to ensure you get to see the best ones. Day One: We suggest to start today at 07:30am. Driver and tour guide will pick you up from your accommodation, and head to National Park Phnom Kulen. This is where the 500-year long age of Angkor began. Phnom Kulen is the mountain on which King Jayavarman II initiated the royal “God the King “ Linga cult in 802 AD.
On the way, we will stop at Kampong Phluk, floating village on Tonle Sap Lake. It is the largest lake in South East Asia. You will extremely enjoy the most beautiful sunset.
Day Two: Start early at 05:00am for sunrise at Angkor Wat. After the Chinese crowd leaves, we keep exploration this incredible monument at your own leisure. And gain an insight into the Khmer Empire. Our guide is some of the most experienced in Siem Reap. And is committed to ensuring you get the very best out of your Angkor experience. Then head to the 37Km temple,
Banteay Srey, before the masses of crowds arrives. The most intricately carved temple in all of Angkor enjoys traditional Khmer village and palm sugar production. There is an opportunity for those who interested to visit the Landmine Museum. The admissions fee to this site is $5/person.
Then head to the jungle temple Ta Prohm. It is where they shot the movie “Tomb Raider”. Your guide and driver will discuss about your lunch stop at the local restaurant. Then visit to the ancient city of Angkor Tom (South Gate Angkor Tom, Bayon, Baphuon, Phimeanakas, Terrace of the Elephants, Terrace of the Leper King, North Khleang, South Khleang). Then we will bring you to your accommodation or you may request to drop off somewhere near by the city.
