Departing from Siem Reap, our country tour takes you off the beaten path to discover the tranquil beauty of rural Cambodia. Traverse verdant rice paddies, lush palm groves, and quaint villages nestled along the Tonle Sap River, where time seems to slow down amidst the peaceful rhythms of agrarian life. Engage with local farmers, fishermen, and artisans as you gain insights into traditional livelihoods and age-old customs.
The tour will start around 8:00 in the morning after you've had breakfast. We'll come and pick you up and we'll drive out into the countryside around Siem Reap. We'll start with walking through a local village where you will get the opportunity to meet some of the local villagers. We'll take an ox cart ride through the village so you can see the village and the farms in the area.
We'll also visit a local rural school where you can meet the students and teachers.
We'll then conclude the tour with a cooking class. We'll go to the local market to buy the ingredients we need and then you'll be shown how to prepare the ingredients and give a class about how to cook a delicious traditional Khmer dish.
Your tour guide will be with you at all times to translate and explain the culture and traditions of Cambodia.
