After departure from Ponta Delgada, take the road to the amazing sight of Vista do Rei belvedere, where we can enjoy the beautiful view of the Sete Cidades crater, "Blue and Green Lake." We continue the tour going down to the lakes, making several stops in different viewpoints and going near the margins of the twin lakes.
Continue to the Mata do Canário, a natural park with a belvedere offering a different view of this unique landscape, and then to the Pico do Carvão road, with numerous small lakes, including "Empadas Lakes." Enjoy multiple perspectives of the north and south shores of the island. Stop for lunch, served in a local restaurant where you can savor typical azorean food. We continue our visit by discovering the city of Ribeira Grande, with its unique historical center dating from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. We end the day by ascending to Pico da Barrosa to the Lagoa do Fogo (Fire Lake) and the beautiful natural park with thermal pools, waterfalls and many different types of endemic plants, protected and untouched by man. Return to Ponta Delgada for drop-off at your accommodations.
