The tour begins with a relaxing ferry ride on lake Zurich. It takes 1 hour long, time for a short introduction about Zurich and Switzerland. You'll have enough time for some photo opportunities or to grab a drink.
After a relaxing ferry ride on lake Zurich, it's time to deboard in Kilchberg. After a short (10 min) walk we reach LINDT Home of Chocolate. We will continue with an exciting tour through the world of chocolate! You'll journey back to the origins of chocolate and experience how cocoa conquered Europe. You'll meet the Swiss chocolate pioneers who changed – or at least “sweetened” – our lives with their inventions. Marvel at all the work it takes to transform cocoa beans into melt-in-your-mouth chocolate. Follow the chocolate manufacturing process in the Lindt modern test facilities. And find out just how irresistible Swiss chocolate is for you with unlimited tasting included.
After exploring the World of Chocolate, we take a 15 min bus ride back to Zurich. We will arrive at Bahnhofstrasse - an exclusive shopping street with numerous boutiques, department stores, and timepiece stores here, as well as at Paradeplatz – the Swiss banking center.
The journey continues with an express (1 hour +) Walking Tour of the Old Town. You'll learn interesting historical facts while passing by the most important city attractions, including Fraumunster church with its Chagal Windows, Grossmunster - the church where Reformation began in Switzerland, and Niederdorf with lots of restaurants and Guild Houses.
Exploring Zurich we cannot miss the most beautiful views from the vantage point in the heart of the city - Lindenhof Hill, a former Roman settlement. This spot provides a glorious view of the Old Town, Grossmünster Church, City Hall, the Limmat river, the university, and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (the "factory" of over 20 Nobel Prize laureates).
