The Bastei rock formation has plenty of viewpoints over the Elbe canyon on the right bank of the river Elbe. You can easily walk across the famous sandstone bridge, that connects Bastei and visit the ruins of the old medieval Neurathen rock castle from the 12th Century.

You need no special equipment for the tour, only clothes comfortable for movement outdoors and a daypack may come in handy.
