The Bastei Bridge and Neurathen offer the most beautiful views to the Elbe canyon, the deepest sandstone canyon in the whole Europe, surrounded by wild German nature are unique only to this area.
The most popular point of interest in the Saxon Switzerland NP is Bastei Bridge in Germany. The Bastei rock formation has plenty viewpoints over the Elbe canyon on the right bank of the river Elbe. You can walk across the famous sandstone bridge that connects Bastei and explore ruins of old Neurathen rock castle.
Continue through the Saxon land to the city of Dresden, notable for its stunningly rebuilt architecture and modern culture history. After a delicious lunch in a local restaurant, discover this rich city with medevial foundations and popular as a spa resort and royal retreat.
Visit some of its historical monuments such as the Royal Palace, the Zwinger Old Master Gallery to see masterworks including the ‘Sistine Madonna’ by Raphael; admire the domed Frauenkirche (Church of the Virgin Mary). Enjoy the afternoon free to explore this resplendent city further at leisure.
Please, note that the gallery will be closed until February 28th and you will visit Royal Palace instead.
Visit some of its historical monuments such as the Royal Palace, which was once the hub of power for the Saxon princes and kings. First mentioned in the 14th century as a castle complex, the four-wing palace structure was developed in the 15th century.
We will deliver you back to your accommodation in Prague around 6 pm with your camera full of beautiful photos, great memories with new friends and one more Bohemia Adventure story to tell.

Our professional guide will meet you between 7:30 to 8:00 a.m. in front of your accommodation at your Prague address. The return time is usually between 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. but it may vary depending on the pace of the group, etc.
Please, do not forget to take your passport (ID) with you as the trip to Germany is part of the tour. As you have booked a hiking option, we recommend wearing hiking boots or sports shoes suitable for uneven surfaces.
An à la carte lunch and a snack pack with water are already included in your tour. If you have any dietary preferences such as vegetarian, or vegan meals, please let us know.
You need no special equipment for the tour, only clothes comfortable for movement outdoors and a daypack may come in handy. We provide free walking poles, raincoats, etc for you to borrow.
One day before the tour we will send you an exact pickup time confirmation along with the most up-to-date weather forecast for the hike.
