The Bastei Bridge and Neurathen offer the most beautiful views to the Elbe canyon, the deepest sandstone canyon in the whole Europe, surrounded by wild German nature are unique only to this area.

Your guide will pick you up at your hotel in Prague in the early morning. From that point, our mission is to give you everything you need to enjoy the day trip to the fullest. During the drive to the Northern Region in our comfortable fully outfitted vehicle  (1,5 hrs), we will provide you with a knowledge of the National Park, Czech country, and information about the trip and FREE WIFI.

The most popular point of interest in the Saxon Switzerland NP is Bastei Bridge in Germany. The Bastei rock formation has plenty viewpoints over the Elbe canyon on the right bank of the river Elbe. The Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister in Dresden, Germany, displays around 750 paintings from the 15th to the 18th centuries. It includes major Italian Renaissance works as well as Dutch and Flemish paintings. Outstanding works by German, French and Spanish painters of the period are also among the gallery's attractions. - Please, note that the gallery will be closed until February 28th and you will visit Royal Palace instead.

Visit some of its historical monuments such as the Royal Palace, which was once the hub of power for the Saxon princes and kings. First mentioned in the 14th century as a castle complex, the four-wing palace structure was developed in the 15th century.

Our professional guide will meet you between 7:30 to 8:00 a.m. in front of your accommodation at your Prague address. The return time is usually between 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. but it may vary depending on the pace of the group, etc.

Please, do not forget to take your passport (ID) with you as the trip to Germany is part of the tour. As you have booked a hiking option, we recommend wearing hiking boots or sports shoes suitable for uneven surfaces.

An à la carte lunch and a snack pack with water are already included in your tour. If you have any dietary preferences such as vegetarian, or vegan meals, please let us know.

You need no special equipment for the tour, only clothes comfortable for movement outdoors and a daypack may come in handy. We provide free walking poles, raincoats, etc for you to borrow.

One day before the tour we will send you an exact pickup time confirmation along with the most up-to-date weather forecast for the hike.
