What you'll see

Our first stop of the day will be The Bastei rock formation, which is located only 2hrs from Prague. When we arrive it is just a ten-minute walk before you are met by some breathtaking views over the Elbe canyon and river. From here you will be able to walk across the famous Bastei Bridge and explore the ruins of the old Neurathen fortress (from the 13th century). Here you will also see an abundance of incredible sandstone pillars which are part of The Elbe Sandstone Mountains, a key part of Saxon Switzerland’s unique beauty.

The Elbe Sandstone Mountains are extremely popular amongst hikers, climbers and mountain bikers all of whom love to relax in Toskana Therme in Bad Schandau where they can receive pampering and relaxation all year round. Come with us and enjoy the same experience as those local adventurers.  Marvel at the colorful lights, underwater music and moving projections of the ‘Liquid Sound Temple’ or relax in the warm of one of the multiple saunas. This truly is an incredible experience for all the senses.

Our professional guide will meet you between 7:30 to 8:00 a.m. in front of your accommodation at your Prague address. The return time is usually between 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. but it may vary depending on the pace of the group, etc.

Please, do not forget to take your passport (ID) with you as the trip to Germany is part of the tour. As you have booked a hiking option, we recommend wearing hiking boots or sports shoes suitable for uneven surfaces.

An à la carte lunch and a snack pack with water are already included in your tour. If you have any dietary preferences such as vegetarian, or vegan meals, please let us know.

You need no special equipment for the tour, only clothes comfortable for movement outdoors and a daypack may come in handy. We provide free walking poles, raincoats, etc for you to borrow.

One day before the tour we will send you an exact pickup time confirmation along with the most up-to-date weather forecast for the hike.
