Peniche, the westernmost city in continental Europe, is mistress of a history associated with its peninsular geography, once insular. Neighbor of the Atlantic Ocean, Peniche is traditionally a place of sea culture and economy.

Costa Caparica is 25 minutes away from Lisbon. On warm weekends it gathers thousands of tourists on its sands. It is part of Almada, in the past a fishing center on the banks of the Tagus.
