Trip Detail
After landing at Lukla for fueling, you will fly to the airstrip in Syangboche, located at 12,340 feet (3,761 meters), or if you wish to have breakfast at Hotel Everest View, the helicopter will land at the hotel’s helipad.From Syangboche your tour will take you closer to Mt. Everest and all the magnificent Himalayas, like Amadablam, Pumori, Number, and Cho Oyu .

Kathmandu to Lukla (2,845 meters) (45 minutes flight)
The Everest helicopter tour starts from Kathmandu. Once you reach the domestic airport hop on your helicopter and head towards Lukla. The flight to Lukla has mesmerizing with views, fly over the concert jungles, of the Kathmandu valley, as you cross the valley witness the majestic views of the lush hills of central Nepal, a part of the great Mahabharat range. Hovering above dotted settlements along the central hills of Nepal, you will reach the settlement of Lukla. A beautiful settlement nestled on a hilltop.
The flight duration is around 30 to 45 minutes. Once you reach Lukla, take a short break. The helicopter needs to be refueled at Lukla. A short break of around 10 to 15 minutes and again get in the helicopter and head towards Kala Patthar.
Lukla to Kala Patthar (5,550 meters) (15-20 minutes flight)
Kala Patthar is a famous vantage point of the Khumbu region nestled at an elevation of 5,550 meters. Trekkers often flock to this area to get a different perspective of the region, and the views at dawn are majestic from this vantage point. A 15 to 20 minutes flight will take you to the summit of Kala Patthar, passing over various settlements along the classic Everest trail. Fly over the settlements of Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dingboche, Gorak Shep, and the deep wilderness of the Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO enlisted World Heritage Site.
At Kala Patthar, you will have a half an hour stop. Observe the majestic view of the Khumbu region and next head towards Everest View hotel.
Kala Patthar to Everest View Hotel (12 minutes flight)
Hovering alongside the mountain giants and flying by the deep wilderness of the Khumbu region head towards the Everest View Hotel. The flight is short, but the views are majestic. The Everest View hotel is one of the highest place hotels in the world, providing 360-degree views of the mountains of the Khumbu region.
Breakfast at the Everest View Hotel (30 minutes flight)
Upon reaching the hotel you will have your breakfast with the views of the Himalayas and deep woodlands of evergreen fir trees, shrubs, and rhododendron forests. A stop for 30 minutes and next you will be heading towards Lukla.
Everest View Hotel to Lukla for refueling (15 minutes flight)
Witness the grand views of the snow-capped mountains and lush wilderness of the Khumbu region. Flying across several settlements dotted along the trail you will reach Lukla. At Lukla, the helicopter needs to refuel so you will have a brief break of around 10 to 15 minutes. After refueling head back to Kathmandu.
Lukla to Kathmandu (45 minutes)
The flight takes you around 45 minutes and covers a distance of 136 kilometers. Fly-past the mountains and alpine territory towards the lush hills of central Nepal. Hovering above various rural settlements and cities you will reach the concrete jungle of the Kathmandu Valley. Upon reaching Kathmandu our representative will assist you with your accommodation. The rest of the day is yours to explore this vibrant city, head on a guided tour, or stroll on your own.
