Guided tour:
The Palace of the Marquesses of Fronteira was built in 1671 as a hunting pavilion to Don João de Mascarenhas, 1st Marquis of Fronteira. The Foundation of the Houses of Fronteira and Alorna, was established by Dom Fernando Mascarenhas (1945-2014), who was the representative of three important noble Houses (Fronteira, Alorna e Távora).

The Fronteira Palace is a privately owned Museum-House.

In order to achieve a peaceful coexistence of the inhabitants with the visitors, all the visits to the interior of the palace are guided tours.
The gardens can be visited without a guide or following a pre-designed itinerary with the help of audio guides.
Guided tours to the palace are included in your day trip.

Self-guided tour:
The Jerónimos Monastery or Hieronymites Monastery, On the banks of the Tagus is an apogee of Manueline architecture, and is a former monastery of the Order of Saint Jerome near the Tagus river in the parish of Belém, in the Lisbon Municipality, Portugal.

The Jerónimos Monastery began as a monastery belonging to the Order of Saint Jerome. Originally a church built in 1495.

The Jerónimos Monastery is considered one of the most surprising examples of Portuguese architecture. It is the final resting place of many famous Portuguese personalities such as Vasco da Gama, Luís de Camões, D. Manuel I and D. João III of Portugal. Its completion took more than 100 years, with Renaissance themes in its structure, as many artists contributed to the construction of the Jerónimos Monastery.

Stop 3

Initially produced in Belem, Lisbon, the origin of the pastel de nata is sacred and spiritual, known as the pastel de Belem. This pastry, originating prior to the 18th century, has its roots in the hands of Catholic monks residing within the Jeronimos Monastery, which stands today as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Your private day trip includes a stop at over 150 old Fabrica dos Pasteis de Belem, a free drink and pastry.

Built in the 16th century, the Belem Tower was built to defend Lisbon from enemy ships. Around 1515, architect Francisco de Arruda designed the iconic monument and it served the purpose of being a fort that protected Lisbon from incoming raids along the Tagus River. It also marked the beginning of voyages for sailors. Includes outside visit.

The service type and cost will be equal or greater from what the Client has paid. In such cases, the information provided to The Affiliate and or Partner it will be limited to the Client's name and contact phone number, arrival/departure flight information, and pickup/drop off information. In the event RapidShuttle sees the needs to use one of our Affiliate's and or Partners to provide a scheduled pick-up, RapidShuttle it will Not Charge the client any extra fees. These measures have to be in place to ensure that our clients do not get services interruptions or to avoid any unnecessary delays.
RapidShuttle is not responsible for any items left in the vehicles; please ensure you have all your belongs upon exiting the vehicles. Each traveler is allowed a maximum of 1 suitcase and 1 carry-on bag. Oversized or excessive luggage (e.g. surfboards, golf clubs or bikes) may have certain restrictions, please inquire with the operator prior to travel to confirm if your excess luggage is acceptable.
Collapsible wheelchairs/Scooter with removable wheels can be accommodated providing the Guest(s) is/are accompanied by someone who can assist them, board, disembark and disassemble/assemble the wheelchair/scooter. Please keep in mind that Wheelchairs/Scooters may not fit in a vehicle luggage compartment designated for 1-2 Passengers (Sedan), or 3-4 Passengers (Minivan). Due to the fact that Wheelchairs and or Scoters vary in Size, Shape, and Form. It is the Guest(s) responsibility to ensure that such items can fit on the selected vehicle and or passenger group. Due to liabilities, the driver is not allowed to assist in the disassembly/assembly of the wheelchair/scooter, nor assist the Guest(s) board or off-board the vehicle. RapidShuttle vehicles are Not equipped to provide Access/ADA services. In the event, that the wheelchair/scooter cannot fit in the baggage compartment, nor the Guest(s) have the ability to board the selected vehicle/service; RapidShuttle it will do their best to find an alternative service for the Guest(s) at their own costs. The Guest(s) understands that these costs will be in addition to their initial cost for the reservation. The Guest(s) as well understand that in the event that RapidShuttle's driver cannot accommodate the Guest(s) due to their own ability to board, and/or off-board the vehicle, and or the scooter or wheelchair cannot fit in the baggage compartment, RapidShuttle reserves the right not to issue a refund for the services.
Guests can customize their day trip by prioritizing their stops. The ability to see all sites on this private guided day trip, depends entirely on the (1) the amount of time spent at each site, and (2) road conditions.
This 5 hours tour/day trip door-to-door service, and includes pickup and drop-off. Tour/day starts at pickup location (Starting time) and ends at the drop-off location (Ending time).
Our guests will receive a local contact phone number 24 to 48 hours prior the start of their day trip.
The "Full Refund" only applies to the transportation portion of the day trip. A 10% charge of your day trip will apply regarless the time frame of the cancellation.
