Portugal was the first global empire in the world and everything started in this lovely district called Belém. Vessels left its harbors to navigate through the unknown, facing the dangerous of the Oceans to discover new land, build churches and forts to make Portugal the first global Empire in History.
Belém is also considered to be one of the most beautiful places in the city, with its many historical buildings and famous UNESCO heritage sites, the Jeronimos Monastery and the Tower of Belém. Both were idealized by King D. Manuel I and built in a unique architecture style that become to be known as the "Manueline Style".
We'll also see the incredible Monument to the Discoveries, the impressive Presidential Palace, Afonso de Albuquerque Square, the gardens of Belém, the CBB, the Compass Rose and the Pastéis de Belém.
