oin us for an unforgettable morning exploring Angkor, Cambodia’s most important and impressive collection of temples! The day begins before sunrise, with a hotel pick-up and a short transfer to Angkor Wat.
As dawn breaks, the temple’s lotus-shaped towers slowly appear in silhouette against the sky. Later on, your guide will lead you through the galleries and courtyards, sharing the history of this 12th-century masterpiece built by the Khmer Empire and dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu.
After exploring Angkor Wat in the soft morning light, continue to a quiet area within the Angkor complex for one of the highlights of the tour: a chef-prepared jungle breakfast. Set up privately for Discova guests, this picnic is freshly cooked and served in a calm, natural setting surrounded by the sounds of the morning. We use this stop to slow down a little bit, relax, and enjoy a proper meal before continuing the day’s discoveries.
Once breakfast is finished, begin your bike adventures along gentle park roads and shaded paths that link the most remarkable temples in the Angkor Archaeological Park. Our routes are carefully planned to avoid heavy traffic and to show a side of Angkor many visitors miss. Ride through ancient gateways and quiet sections of forest before arriving at the striking Bayon Temple, the centrepiece of the once-great city of Angkor Thom. Its fifty-four towers are carved with more than two hundred serene stone faces, each believed to represent either King Jayavarman VII or the compassionate Buddha Avalokiteshvara, watching over the ancient capital.
From there, continue to Ta Prohm, often called the “Tomb Raider Temple.” Here, massive silk-cotton and strangler-fig trees have taken root in the crumbling walls, their roots twisting through doorways and stone corridors. The blend of architecture and nature gives Ta Prohm its unmistakable, atmospheric beauty and makes it one of the most photographed sites in Angkor.
Throughout the tour, your Discova guide shares fascinating stories about the architecture, symbolism, and the people who once lived here. Vehicle support is available whenever you prefer to rest, and plenty of water and snacks are included. The ride ends around midday, returning you to Siem Reap with both a sense of adventure and a deeper connection to Cambodia’s incredible heritage.
