Detailed itinerary

We will meet a the cruise terminal or another preferred accommodation in Trieste and head directly to Divaca- Skocjan Caves. A ride in a comfortable up to date clean and air conditioned van takes about 30 minutes. We accept only up to 15 persons for this excursion.

Stop 2

As we come to the caves your driver will escort you to the entrance and give you the tickets (included in price) as you will join a larger group that will be guided in your preferred language by a local cave guide.

After you exit from the caves you will have enough time to buy some souvenirs, use the toilet or grab a coffee or snack. After that we will meet again and head back to Koper in a relaxing smooth ride (30 min) as the journey concludes under your ship or another accommodation in Koper.

Upn request we can make a reservation for lunch at a authentic Slovenian restaurant with some traditional local or international food and great wine at affordable price. This way you will also get to experience Slovenia trough the taste as well.

Pickup is from Trieste cruise terminal but is also available from any location within Tieste city limits. Please provide us pickup location at the time of booking.

You will receive exact optimized tour departure time by the last week before the tour after we receive the final update for your ship arrival / departure times from the port authorities. Hote and private acommodation guest will be contacted by us to discuss pick up time and location preferences.
During peak season we cannot always guarantee to provide fluent English speaking driver or escort. In the event this is not possible, rest assured that you will still receive 100 percent level of service and will not be affected in any way. The cave tour is always provided in English.
The term "PRIVATE" goes for the time of transportation only (up to 8). Since the caves are under national protection you will join a larger group guided by a local cave guide
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE TEMPERATURE IN THE CAVES IS AROUND 10 degrees Celsious or 50 degrees Fahrenheit ALL YEAR ROUND SO WEAR APPROPRIATE CLOTHES. (SPORT SHOES AND A JACKET)
This tour operates in all weather conditions so please wear appropriate clothes in case of wind or rain.
Please be aware that the cave part includes around 350 stairs alltogether so the difficulty level is 3.5 out of 5.
