Detailed itinerary

1

Our overnight trip to Sataya Dolphinhouse is starting from the marina in Hamata. The small village is located about 100 km south of Marsa Alam. From its harbour daily boats and safari trips head towards the stunning reefs of the Southern Red Sea.

In the morning we will pick you up from your hotel and drive to Hamata in air conditioned minibuses. The transfer time will be around two hours – depending on the location of your hotel.

As soon as you arrive on board, you will get a short introduction while having soft drinks in the saloon. Choose your rooms and make yourself comfortable on our vessel, while we are already on our way to Sataya.

After having a relaxing two hours ride we will arrive to our destination. A quick briefing will prepare you for your first guided snorkeling. You will have plenty of time to discover the coral reef of Shaab Sataya from the surface and swim inside the lagoon, protected by the reef from currents. A second guided snorkeling follows during the afternoon. Sataya is a place for everyone and all the family.

Later on you will watch the sun set with the delicious food prepared by our chief on the boat. Don’t miss the most impressive view from the high deck – watching the stars and moon. Light Egyptian music and our hand made beduin coffee called gabbana are completing the atmosphere.

Early in the morning of the second day we will discover the reef before anyone else. The marine life just returns back to daily activities while you are watching. The best chance to spot dolphins and rays while will be during that time.

When we had our breakfast the boat moves to Abu Galawa for your last stop during our trip. The most beautiful coral reef wants to be discovered. The sandy bottom between the reef blocks makes it very picturesque. Swimming through the passages is relaxed and easy. They become narrower and shallower until the reef is only 3 meters below.

Only lunch and a small break are left before we start our trip back to the harbor. The minibus takes you back to your hotel in time to take the dinner.
