From the breathtaking cliffs (flysh) of Zumaia, to the vineyards of the local appellation, to a rustic Cider House for lunch & the medieval fishing village of Getaria, you're going to get really Basque on this tour!

Our first destination is the village of Zumaia which boasts STUNNING cliffs named "flysch" a curious geological formation. We'll take a stroll on a cliff for incredible views & visit a cafe in the old town for a little pick-me-up.
Next up we will visit a local winery in a gorgeous setting for a tasting of different Txakoli wines and snacks.
For lunch we'll drive to one of the very best cider houses in the area. Apple orchards surround San Sebastián and hard cider is the traditional drink of the Basques. This rustic lunch features a prix fixe* menu of chorizo, omelettes, cod, txuleta (bone-in ribeye), cheese and ALL YOU CAN DRINK cider! It's rustic, it's traditional, it's a riot!

We'll finish the day with a walk through the town and port of Getaria. This medieval fishing village was first put on the map by Juan Sebastián Elcano--the first sailor to circumnavigate the globe in 1522. We'll finish the day with a walk through the Cristobal Balenciaga Museum. The world famous haute couture designer is also from Getaria and this museum offers a stunning glimpse into his designs.
