What you'll see
This tour will start from your Hotel/Apartment/Cruise.
You will be driven up North and visit the Almourol Castle (subject to river and weather conditions - also closed on Mondays during low season). If the weather conditions don't allow the river crossing by boat, you will still be close enough to take photos of the walls of the castle.
Then we will go to the city of Tomar, where you will have time to visit some of the most important places related to the Templar Knights, such as:
- Santa Maria do Olival Church;
- São João Baptista Church;
- Convent of Christ and the Templar Castle.
You will have time to visit the historic centre of this UNESCO World Heritage site, its churches and also the Jewish Synagogue (under renovations at the moment but you can see all the artifacts from the Synagogue at a temporary exhibition centre).
You will also have time to have lunch between visiting the sites.
