Kathmandu is definitely one of the ultimate Hindu destinations for religious pilgrimages. Within the lifetime of every devout Hindu, one should make at least one pilgrimage to the beautiful Kathmandu Valley to see some of the most sacred of places.
The Om Kathmandu Hindu Pilgrimage Tour takes you to four of the most sacred sites in the Kathmandu Valley. This will include Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, and Budhanilkantha. These four holy places embody the spirit of Hinduism as they pay homage to many in the pantheon of the Hindu gods and goddesses, including that of Shiva and Vishnu.

This is the holiest Hindu place in all of Nepal and one of the holiest in all of Hinduism. Nestled on both banks of the sacred Bagmati River are temples, ghats, and shrines. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is home to many Babas as well as other Hindu holy men.
This pilgrim site of Buddhist Stupa included this tour cause this is nearby Pashupatinath and en-route to Budhanilkantha. While you visit Kathmandu skipping this is trip incomplete. So, we have included that place in our tour program. This is the largest Buddhist stupa in Asia and features the unique synergy of Hinduism and Buddhism that is found here in the Kathmandu Valley. It is also the home of the largest Tibetan refugee community in all of Nepal. Boudhanath has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Budhanilkantha area is known as the famous Hindu temple of Budhanikanth. When we get there we can buy some materials for Puja (For Hindus only) and start from the basement of the Holy water tap. It is a small but pilgrimage area for special for Hindus. Non-Hindus are allowed to go and they can learn house Hindus culture.
While not a UNESCO World Heritage Site; it definitely should be. Here is one of the oldest shrines in the Kathmandu Valley which features a 5-meter long idol of Lord Vishnu reclining on the cosmic sea. The idol is made of a black stone that is not native to the Kathmandu Valley. This sacred temple was erected by the Licchavi dynasty that ruled the Kathmandu Valley nearly a millennium ago.
