Hanuman Dhoka was the former Royal Palace of the Malla kings which was later passed onto the Shah dynasty. You can visit Kumari Ghar at Basantapur where you can see the living goddess of Nepal.

Next, you will cycle to Swoyambu Nath Stupa, which is also popularly known as Monkey temple. From the name, it is clear that you will find a lot of monkeys at a temple. Swoyambhu Nath has religious importance for both Buddhists and Hindus. You can visit Hindu temples Harati temple and Saraswati temple and see Buddhist shrines and stupas.
