Knossos, the center of Minoan civilization and the capital of Minoan Crete is worth a visit. Knossos was the prosperous Minoan Capital and the residence of King Minos. In the archaeological museum of Heraklion, you will find the largest collection of Minoan findings. The tour to Knossos is offered in two different ways. The classical tour where you visit the excavations of Knossos and the archaeological museum in Heraklion. On this tour you have the possibility to visit the center of Heraklion too, where you can enjoy a lunch or do some shopping.

On this excursion you have the opportunity to visit the excavation sites of the Palace of Knossos, built in 2000 BC. Knossos was the prosperous Minoan Capital and the residence of King Minos. Stop 2

The tour is followed by a visit to the Museum of Heraklion, where you can see the largest collection of Minoan findings from Crete.
