About this experience

Enjoy a day trip along the old border between Romania ( Wallachia ) and The Austrian- Hungarian Empire. Your guide will meet you in the central square of Brasov and your journey will start. It will be a 3 minutes walk to your AC van/coach , will jump on the bus and head south. All this is accompanied by the comment of an expert tour guide giving a full explanation about Romanian's "contribution" at the 1st and the 2nd World Wars.

What you'll see

Your guide will meet you at 9 am in the Council City Square of Brasov. Soon as everybody have arrived wi;ll jump on you AC van/coach and head south towards the old border between Romania and Transylvania. First stop is going to be Castle Peles in Sinania, home of Romanian Royal families for almost 100 years. With the beginning of the WW1 Romania find itself in very difficult position. King Ferdinand of Habsburg , German by birth, was inclining on helping The King of Germany , Wilhem II , his wife on the other hand , Queen Maria of Romania, English by birth was inclining towards the allies (Antanta - The Gentlemen's Agreement). King Ferdinand originally chose the be neutral but 2 years later Romania joined the war on the side of the allies. and against Germany. A year later , after we exhausted our military resources , Romania joins for the 2nd time in this World War " the neutral zone". Next stop is going to be the Cemetery of the Unknown soldier where we have buried hundreds of Romanian , Hungarian , German , Russian , Austrian etc soldiers that died in the war. Price includes entry fees ,  tickets , transport and lunch at a traditional Romanian restaurant in Sinaia.
