Detailed itinerary

1

The tour to the Blue Lagoon starts with the pick up at your hotel located in the city of Tarapoto to go towards the district of Sauce located 32 miles to the south of the city. You will reach the town of Sauce (614 meters above sea level) after 2 hours of driving and crossing the Huallaga River. The path from Tarapoto to Sauce is really impressive. You will see incredible landscapes full of green woods. We are going to make a stop at the viewpoint of Punta de Gallinazo, a good spot to watch the River Huallaga and the huge amazon jungle located in the region of San Martin.

2

The freshwaters of Blue Lake are warm because it is located next to an inactive volcano. You can swim in this lake without problems and it is perfect to practice sport fishing or swimming. You will take the motorboat to tour this beautiful place surrounded by woods and local fauna.

3

After an hour, the boat will arrive at a touristic place where you will have time to swim and relax on the banks of the lake and, if you want, you can practice optional activities such as kayak, Zipline, horse riding and jet ski. Later, you will enjoy the local lunch with regional food and have more time to chill. The transportation will take the path back to the city of Tarapoto and drop you off at your hotel.
