After picking you up from your hotel located in the city of Chiclayo, we will start this amazing tour visiting the Paseo de las Musas, a place to spend an amazing time with the family, enjoying a nice walk. This urban park has many squares surrounded by beautiful gardens and flowers, as well as sculptures of 9 muses from Greek mythology made by the sculpture Miguel Ángel Díaz Dávila.

The tour in Chiclayo continues until reaching the main park. The city doesn’t have Plaza de Armas because it was not a place of battle. From here, you will enjoy panoramic views to commercial malls, the old cinema, as well as the beautiful Cathedral. The Cathedral of Chiclayo, or Santa Maria Cathedral, began construction in 1869 and ended in 1939 due to lack of funds. The Cathedral’s design is by Gustave Eiffel and it has a neoclassical style. The city of Chiclayo has been founded in 1720 by Spanish but as a place to rest for the merchants during the colonial period. Then, we are going to reach the Municipal Palace. This Republican monument offers amazing exhibitions of local photographers in their beautiful rooms.

We will end the excursion visiting the Mercado Modelo, also known as the Witch Market of Chiclayo, a place where you can find everything, including products related to witchcraft, because the shamanism is very traditional in the mountains and jungles of Peru and it is practiced to heal illnesses or love sickness. After this incredible tour, we will drop you off in your hotel.
