About this experience

Cuenca is the third most important city in the country, you can find culture and art everywhere you go! It is also considered one of the most charming cities in Ecuador, it is formed by cobblestone streets, ancient cathedrals, colonial parks and emblematic rivers. You can't miss it!

The tour will start at Calderon Park and from there we will visit the most important attractions of the city that will allow you to immerse yourself in the history and local culture. Among them we will visit the Plaza de las Flores, the Museum of Modern Art, the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and climb to the Mirador de Turi where you will get wonderful panoramic views of the city. We will also stop at the Homero Ortega hat factory where you can buy a local souvenir.

After half a day touring all the points mentioned in the itinerary, we will end the activity.

We will meet at the Abdón Calderón Park, located in the center of the city of Cuenca, to begin our tour.

This square is located in the heart of the historic center of the city of Cuenca. Here you can stroll through the market and admire the beauty of the local flora, as well as the market is integrated with the Church of Carmen de la Asuncion.

Here we will be able to see a collection of contemporary Ecuadorian and international art inside this museum located in an old colonial building with a fascinating history.

Known as the “New Cathedral”, this iconic structure is one of the largest and most majestic in Latin America, and you will have the opportunity to see its exterior. If you wish to enter, you can pay the entrance fee and do so.

In this viewpoint, known as “the balcony of Cuenca”, you can enjoy a unique panoramic view of the city in all its splendor. It is a perfect place to capture incredible photographs of the city.

At this point, we will visit the Homero Ortega Hat Factory, where we will discover the process of making the famous Panama Hat, one of the most recognized craft traditions of Cuenca and Ecuador.
