We start our tour with Hotel or Airbnb pick-ups in Cuenca. Then we drive for about 45 minutes to Toreadora refuge. On the way we stop for a grab and go coffee and snack at Dos Chorreras.
Our tour takes you to Toreadora Refuge in the Cajas National Park. One of the most beautiful areas in Ecuador. There we will have the chance to do a hike through the grasslands to explore the scenery, lakes and very magical Polylepis forest. Our tour guide will show you couple options that you can choose from based on your interest and fitness.

Cajas Tips
The weather is very unpredictable in Cajas, sunshine one minute and sudden mist or rain. We suggest to consider the following tips:
1. Dress Comfortably and layered clothing: t-shirt, sweater or jacket, and raincoat. (Rain season is March and April)
2. Bottle of water and snacks (Keep in mind that we will have lunch usually around 2 pm)
3. Hiking shoes or comfortable shoes for walking
4. Rainproof gear, in the afternoon it tends to drizzle specially March through May
