Detailed itinerary

On this tour, we visit the iconic Lake Tarawera, and drive by the Blue and Green lakes. You will see ancient Maori rock drawings, and learn about the history of the world famous Pink and White Terraces and the Tarawera eruption. Enjoy a swim, or just chill out at the cafe by the lake. Make sure you take your camera, as this is a truly spectacular location.

Next we visit the stunning Secret Spot Hot Tubs and enjoy a relaxed lunch stop. Simply grab a bite and a drink and soak your feet, wander the grounds, or book your own private Hot Tub experience (extra charge). Cold plunges and saunas are another great optional extra for you to try.

Stop 3

To round out our relaxing day in the hinterland, we head to the famous Redwoods Treetop Walk. Traverse the swing bridges and walkways high in the forest, and learn about this unique ecosystem. Breathe in the cool and clean air high up in the forest, and look out for native birdlife as you explore the many walkways and bridges. This is an outstanding activity, and one of our absolute favourites in the region (Optional extra, cost additional). There is a free ground walk option if preferred. What a way to wind up your day in nature!
