About this experience

Pass by kiwifruit orchards and lakes as we drive you in our comfortable van to the nearby town of Rotorua. Learn about the real New Zealand as we explore the hinterland in a small group.
Visit The amazing Wai-o-Tapu Thermal Wonderland-New Zealand's best geothermal experience! Be guided through this dramatic and unique park and witness the Lady Knox Geyser.
Next we visit the awe-inspiring Redwood Forest. Take a walk together, as we experience the cool and calm created by this unique ecosystem.
Then you choose:
1. Canopy Treetop Walk: Traverse the swing bridges and walkways high in the forest, and learn more about this unique ecosystem. This is one of our absolute favourites!
2. For those not so keen on heights, take time out in a private forest spa or sauna, complete with drinks on tap! Alternatively just enjoy the free foot-soaks. What a way to wind up your day!
Finally we make our way back to Tauranga, in plenty of time for your ship.

Stop 1

Our experienced guide shows you through what we believe is the very best of New Zealands’ geothermal experiences- The amazing Wai-o-Tapu Thermal Wonderland. Take time to explore this dramatic and beautiful park, and witness the famous Lady Knox Geyser, shooting more than 10M in the air. Admission will be paid on the day.

Next we visit the awe-inspiring Redwood Forest. Be astounded by the size of the trees and enjoy being at one with nature in this stunning area.

For those who choose the tree walk optional upgrade:

Get up into the trees by choosing to do the optional Canopy Treetop Walk. Traverse the swing bridges and walkways high in the forest, and learn more about the history and unique importance of this special forest. This is an outstanding activity, and one of our absolute favourites in the region. Extra admission charge applies on the day.

For those who want a free option, take a ground walk to experience the cool and calm created by this unique ecosystem.

For those not so keen on heights, we will take you to Secret Spot Hot Tubs. Take time out and rest at this outstanding location. Buy a drink and soak your feet in the "shinny dips" for free, or choose to upgrade with a private forest spa, complete with drinks on tap! What a way to wind up your day in nature! Cold plunges and saunas are another great option for you to try. Extra admission charge applies for these private options.
