The first stop will be the Chen Clan Academy, known for its art in wood, stone and ceramic carvings. It is one of the best examples of traditional Lingnan architecture and a perfect place to learn about the history of the ancient families of Guangdong.
Then we will visit Shamian Island, an area with European-style buildings that reflects foreign influence during the 19th century. We will walk quietly observing the colonial architecture, the cafes and the classic atmosphere of the island.

Then we will visit the Temple of the Six Bananas (Dafo Temple), a spiritual place full of calm where you can appreciate the Buddhist tradition in the city. From there we will walk to Beijing Road, one of the oldest and most renowned shopping streets, famous for its layers of historical remains visible under the glass floor.
