During our stop in Grecia, guests enjoy a guided cultural visit to one of Costa Rica’s most iconic landmarks: the Metallic Church of Grecia (Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de las Mercedes).
Our bilingual guide will explain the history and story behind this unique structure, including how the church was manufactured in Belgium in the late 19th century and later shipped and assembled in Costa Rica as a gift from Belgium. The guide will also share interesting facts about its architecture, cultural importance, and why it is considered a national treasure.
Guests will have time to:
