About this experience
Experience walking a LLAMA on a sunset trek at 3500 ft above sea level along the slopes of Haleakala. The scenery is absolutely breath-taking, the air is crisp and cool, and from this vantage point you can see coast to coast, the West Maui Mountains across the valley, and the surrounding islands. The walk is relatively flat, traversing rolling hills via a gravel road that becomes a grass path. Each guest walks their own llama while enjoying a way off-the-beaten path experience that will leave you with a deep appreciation and respect for Maui and these beautiful animals. Meeting point
Navigate to Thompson Ranch Riding Stables and park on the side of the road by the farmstand. Do not enter Thompson Ranch as this is not our destination. A large white llama van will meet you there and you will follow the van to the beginning of the hike where you will park.
