In Museum Helmond gaan oude helden hand in hand met nieuwe meesters. Wij nodigen je uit om kennis te maken met de verhalen van helden, meesters en families die dit kasteel bewoonden. De zalen ademen nog altijd de grandeur van weleer en brengen het verleden op indrukwekkende wijze tot leven. Ontdek het werk van Lucas Gassel, een schilder uit de 16e eeuw die geboren en getogen is in Helmond. Zijn landschappen, rijk aan symboliek en verfijning, brachten hem faam tot ver buiten de stadsgrenzen.

Kasteel Helmond bestaat al bijna 700 jaar en is de grootste nog bestaande vierkante waterburcht van Nederland. Wandel door de historische vertrekken, dwaal door de kasteeltuinen en kom even tot rust in een omgeving vol historie en karakter. Iedere bezoeker wordt verrast door de oprechte gastvrijheid van onze vrijwilligers. Met trots, kleur en geur vertellen zij de verhalen van het kasteel en brengen zij de Nederlandse geschiedenis opnieuw tot leven.
