Prometheus Cave is a natural monument of outstanding beauty worldwide. Its age is approximately 60-70 million years. A karst cave decorated with amazing stalactite and stalagmite formations.
. A total of 22 halls have been discovered in the cave, of which 6 halls are currently open to tourists. In the cave, you can walk along a 1420-meter-long path, explore the halls and take a boat tour along the flowing river.
Also, while moving through the cave, you will encounter “petrified waterfalls,” “hanging stone curtains,” helictides, calcite vents and other organic layers.
Prometheus Cave is a visiting card of Georgia and you should definitely visit it with your family or friends.

The canyon is also notable for its history. According to legend, this place was one of the most important parts of the Dadiani summer residence. It was here that a bathing area was arranged for them. The area is surrounded by a unique Colchian forest.

A 700 m long circular stone-paved hiking trail starts from the visitor center and follows the Dadiani historical trail. The trail features 2 bridges, 3 viewing platforms, and a 30-step historical staircase built of large limestone boulders.

Visitors also have the opportunity to take a boat ride on a 300-meter (one-way) section of the Abasha River and enjoy the beautiful views of the mountain river canyon.
