Detailed itinerary

Departure from the city of La Paz (7:00am) according to coordination, we will cross the city center and northern part to leave La Paz.

After leaving the city of La Paz, we will have a panoramic visit of the city of El Alto (route to chacaltaya).

Along the way we will have a panoramic view of Chacaltaya Mountain (before 2003 it was the highest ski resort in the world).

Stop 4

En route we will have a panoramic view of the snowy Huayna Potosí, the most popular mountain in Bolivia to make a 6000 m.

We will make a photo stop at the Milluni Cemetery and in the background the snowy Huayna Potosí.
Then visit the Emerald Lagoon - Charquini

Upon reaching the starting point of the hike (4930 m) we will have a panoramic view of the mountain range of the Cordillera Real de La Paz.

During the hike we will have in the background the mountains: Imilla Apachita (viewpoint) and María Lloko (peak at 5522 m)

Stop 8

After a 4 km one way trek, passing through an aqueduct we will reach the Maria Lloko Lagoon (height 4900 m). which is between Maria Lloko Peak and the west face of the snowy Huayna Potosí

Stop 9

After the visit to the Maria Lloko Lagoon, according to feasibility walking about 30 minutes we can reach the glacier of Huayna Potosí (west side) at an elevation of 5010).

Afterwards we will return to the starting point by the same route of the aqueduct 4.5 km
