The Sanctuary of Fatima, located in Cova da Iria is one of the most important centers of Catholic pilgrimage in the world. This sacred place attracts every year millions of faithful who go there in search of peace, reflection and prayer.

The apparitions of Fatima in 1917 form a religious and national event that occupied many columns in the daily press of that time.
The people fled to Cova da Iria in flux of curiosity, but also of faith and hope.
We lived difficult times, full of anguish and suffering imposed by the First Great World War.
The brighter lady than the sun, promised peace, but asked for penance and prayer.
The miracles succeeded, some of a physical nature and many of a spiritual nature.
The Wax Museum embodies and reports the main episodes of this great event.
The miracle of Fatima is faithfully depicted here in 32 scenes with 120 three-dimensional figures.
It is in a union between art and history that the Wax Museum of Fatima invites you to make a journey to a history of faith and hope!

The visit to the caves takes about 60 minutes , starting with a small video followed by a tour accompanied by a guide who will give explanations along the cave route , ending with a photographic exhibition on the 70 years of speleology in Portugal and an exhibition of rocks , minerals and gems.
During the visit, you walk 600 metres of cave and descend 683 steps.
