We’ll pick you up from your hotel in Arequipa early in the morning and begin a scenic 3-hour drive to the Andean town of Chivay. At over 3,000 meters above sea level, we’ll stop for a traditional breakfast with fresh bread, jam, juice, and a hot drink.
Then, we’ll visit the village of Yanque and head toward the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint — ★ the highlight of the tour: watching majestic Andean condors glide over one of the deepest canyons on Earth — the Colca Canyon. A short optional hike will let you soak in even more of the landscape.
We’ll continue through the Colca Valley with stops at breathtaking viewpoints like Wayrapunko and Antahuillque. Then, unwind in the soothing natural hot springs of Chacapi, surrounded by dramatic Andean scenery.
Next, we’ll enjoy a hearty lunch featuring local cuisine before beginning the journey to Puno. On the way, we’ll pause at Patapampa for panoramic volcano views, pass through the Salinas and Aguada Blanca Reserve, and stop at Lagunillas Lagoon, where you may spot flamingos and herds of wild camelids.
We’ll arrive in Puno in the evening, concluding an unforgettable 17-hour adventure through Peru’s majestic highlands.
